In the summer of 2007, a group of us got together for the first time in over a decade to have lunch at Bob Chin’s Crab House. We talked about old times and each of us had a story to tell.
Many times, after the rest of the office had left for the day, we would go to our offices and play “Age of Empires” and do battle with each other on the network. I remember having my civilization destroyed so I shut down and went to watch over Peter’s shoulder. All of a sudden a herd of Paul’s war elephants attacked Peter’s civilization and it was all over for him.
Another time, someone cheated and destroyed all of us with a corvette with a mounted machine gun. No match for chariots and war elephants.

From left to right: Frances Go, Peter Kim, Ray Costello, Mike Tempelman (Sportmarty) and Paul Patterson.
This is the team who handled all operations, communications and frame relay, networking, POS systems and the helpdesk for the entire company, 24/7/365. One guy is missing (Steve) and I didn’t even think of him until I wrote this. Sorry Steve, I would have called you but somehow we all forgot. We’ll call you for the next reunion in 2030.
